IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE CONVENTION........Britain had Margaret Thatcher. America has Sarah Palin. Mrs.Thatcher or Maggie as she was affectionately known had an image of being unwavering and of steadfast character, and that was what I saw tonight in Sarah Palin. Thatcher's political and economic philosophy emphasized reduced state intervention, free markets, and entrepreneurialism. Sarah Palin touched on those themes tonight as well. Sarah is the future, our future. Our future as Republicans. Our future as Americans. She has the cultural pulse of America. What a roar of the crowd. I have not heard anything like this since the days of Ronald Reagan. Shame on the mainstream media trying to destroy her. Shame on Campbell Brown. Shame on Feminists for not supporting her. I can't wait for the Vice Presidental debate on October 2nd when Ms. Plain hands Mr. Biden his head on a plate. The Democrats are scared and running. Conservatism is back. The secret is that it never left, it just moved to Alaska. Just like in the UK. The first female Prime Minister came from the right. Here the first VP and possibility the first female President will come from the right. Thank you Geraldine Ferraro & yes, Hillary for paving the way. When the political pundits look back and analyze why Mr. Obama lost, reason number will be because of not picking Hillary as his VP. The inside scoop says that he really wanted to choose Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius but couldn't because it would infuriate the Hillary supporters, so he ended up choosing Joe Biden out of weakness, whereas John McCain picked Ms. Palin out of strength. John McCain threw a wrench into the equation and said "Here Dems, see what you can do with this!" So the Republicans ended up with the female on the ticket and the Republicans will end up winning the election.
THE DAY AFTER THE CONVENTION......Obama on television today looks ticked, looks peeved in York, Pa. Finally appearing on Bill O'Reilly tonight after O"Reilly has been asking him for months. Mr. Obama has no choice. He's got to find his momentum. He has to find a way to get it back. What better way than on Bill O'Reilly. Hillary did it. She went on the show and "charmed" conservatives. No fear. Obama should have done this months ago. Joe Biden first said he didn't see the speech by Ms. Palin then he said he saw part of it. Rush Limbaugh speculates he watched it three times. Mr.Biden the gaffe machine has problems of his own. Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden said earlier this week that he and running mate Barack Obama could pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November. Today on one of the morning talk shows when asked about this he said something like, I"m not sure where that came from.... Really, you have to wonder about these people. Here's what a couple of newspapers are saying about Ms. Palin's speech last night. Chicago Suntimes; "She has heart of street fighter". London Times; "She's like a moose going after a cabbage." 37 million people watched her speech, 38 million watched Mr. Obama's and only 24 million watched Mr. Biden's. Mr.McCain's?
Conservatives, please don't be overconfident. Look what they tried to do to her when she got picked for VP. I said "give them three days to attempt to destroy her." Boy, my expectations were exceeded. Now the radical Democrats and their cohorts in the media will regroup and go to plan B. They can't defeat her on ideas. They try to hide their ideas because if people really knew what they stood for and what they want to really do they wouldn't get any votes. So look for more personal attacks. It's going to get nasty, but hold steadfast, defend her and Mr. McCain and stand up for what we believe. The radical Democrats are reeling right now. Let's keep them on the defensive. Go after them. This is the campaign we have been waiting for. Conservatives have not been this energized since 1994 and/or 1984. Mr. McCain's donations are way up since last Friday when he announced her as his running mate. Mr.Obama is spending more money right now than he is taking in. One more thing, let's not overlook Rudy Guilani's speech. A masterpiece in itself. His speech was overlooked due to Ms. Palin's but if we had stopped there it still would have been a great night.
I failed to mention, but there must have been a reason for it, and I really don't care if any of you give negative feedback about this but at my job on Wednesday a mother came in with a little baby boy which appeared to have down's syndrome. He was very jolly and very cute, I said "Hi" as I do to almost all babies that come in there and I got the biggest smile and laugh that you could imagine and that really made my day. This child was so happy and gave me a goodbye wave as they were leaving. I guess it gave me a special feeling when viewing the Palin family last night.
Cheers,
Bye for now,
Chris
